EP 01 #KABURAJADULUKESG: GETTING...
EP 01 : GETTING A JOB IN SINGAPORE *If you think sending 10 or even 50 applications is enough… think again. Many of my Indonesian friends have sent 500+ resumes before landing a job. Most companies won’t even respond if your profile doesn’t match, so don’t be discouraged by the silence. Just keep applying! *No updates after the interview? – The interviewer will usually say, “We’ll update you soon.” That could mean a week… or forever. Send a thank-you note right after the interview and follow up in a week if there’s no reply. *Work pass application begins – As a foreigner, you need a work pass (S Pass or EP) to be legally employed in Singapore. EP (Employment Pass) – For professionals, usually requires higher qualifications and salary. S Pass – For mid-skilled workers, with minimum salary requirements. Processing time? It can take 1-3 weeks for approval (sometimes longer). *Work pass rejection? – Yes, getting a job doesn’t guarantee your pass will be approved. Appeal or reapply – Some companies will appeal on your behalf. If they don’t, you’ll need to start the job hunt again. *Health check-up required – If you’re applying for an S Pass, you’ll need to undergo a medical examination, including: ✅ General physical check-up ✅ Blood tests for infectious diseases (HIV, syphilis) ✅ Chest X-ray for tuberculosis (TB) 1️⃣5️⃣ Welcome to Singapore! – You did it! Time to start your new job and enjoy working in SG! The process isn’t easy, but don’t give up! Anyone currently job hunting in SG? Share your experience in the comments! ⬇️✨
